Dob in a Demon is back, and you could win huge prizes just for dobbing in your mates who aren’t members.
We need your help to get to 40,000 members in 2012, and for doing so you could win weekly cash prizes, an iPad or lunch with the entire team.
The member who recruits the most new members will be invited to an exclusive lunch hosted by new co-captains Jack Grimes and Jack Trengove, which will be attended by the entire team.
So, put your thinking caps on. Who do you know that has been hiding their red and blue passion, denying their Demon dedication, and needs to be dragged into the Melbourne fold?
Dobbing in your friends is now even easier than ever.
Dob in a Demon is a member referral program, whereby members are rewarded with points for referring non-members to the Melbourne Football Club.
Members are asked to dob (refer) other Melbourne supporters who are not members, and are rewarded points for doing so. Members can dob in their friends through email and Facebook.
Members must register to be part of the Dob in a Demon program, and can then refer an unlimited number of non-members. To be eligible to win Dob in a Demon prizes, you must be a 2012 Melbourne Football Club member.
Points system
5 points for registering to be part of Dob in a Demon
5 points for each referral that registers to be part of the program (legitimate referrals)
50 points for each referral that signs up as a 2012 member

To be eligible for prize draws, you must be a 2012 Melbourne Football Club member.
You cannot nominate yourself as a legitimate referral if you are not a 2012 member.
Nominees’ required details must be provided to the Melbourne Football Club online between 16 February and 13 April 2012.
Nominees’ details are to be new to the MFC membership database. Points will be awarded for nominating former members – however, they will not be awarded if you nominate people who were members in either 2010 or 2011.
Points (5) will be allocated when you register for the program.
Points (5) will be allocated for each referral who registers for the program.
Points (5) will be allocated should you provide updated details of a previous prospect/member on the database.
Nominee must purchase a membership by 20 April 2012 for the nominator to be eligible for the main prize draw.
The main prize will be awarded to the member with the greatest amount of points at the end of the program.
Fortnightly cash prizes will be drawn at random. You must have a minimum of 15 points to be eligible for the cash draws.
Once a member hits 1,000 points, they are eligible to receive a 16GB iPad.
Prize winners will be announced on the program website, and notified via telephone.
Staff and players can nominate supporters – however, they will not be eligible for prize draws.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will my friend/family member know that I have dobbed them in?
Anyone who you refer will receive an email from you (if you refer them via email) or a Facebook notification (if you refer them via Facebook) when you provide their details.
How will I know how many points I have received?
You will receive an email with information on the points you have been allocated when any of your referrals have registered for Dob in a Demon. You will also receive an email when any of your referrals purchase a 2012 membership.
A leader board will be displayed on this website at all times. You can log in and check your points at any time.
When will points be updated?
Referral points are allocated automatically when one of your referrals registers for the Dob in a Demon program. If one of your referrals joins, points may take a couple of days to update.

How many people can I refer?
You can refer as many people as you like as part of the Dob in a Demon program. If you refer someone who is already a 2012 member, or someone who was a 2011 member, you will not receive points for these referrals.
What if I refer someone who is not eligible?
Points may be removed from your tally, should you refer someone that is ineligible. Full details can be found in our terms and conditions.
When will prize winners be notified?
Prize winners will be notified within 48 hours of draws taking place. They will be notified via email, and information will be published online.
First Prize
The member with the highest number of points at the end of the program wins lunch with the team! This prize will be announed on 23rd April 2012 and date of prize (lunch) will be determined.
Fortnightly Random Cash Prizes
Each fortnight 1 participant in the program will be drawn at random and win a $500 cash prize. Draws will take place on the following dates:
