Terms and Conditions

  1. All members are bound to act in accordance with the Constitution of the Melbourne Football Club.
  2. The Melbourne Football Club membership card remains the property of Melbourne Football Club. Membership cards may not be sold, exploited for commercial use, or used for promotional purposes or campaigns without the express written permission of Melbourne Football Club.
  3. Memberships are non-refundable. Once a membership has been purchased, Melbourne Football Club is under no obligation to provide a cancellation or refund. Refunds will only be considered in extenuating circumstances or due to COVID – 19 related issues.
  4. Access to matches is not guaranteed. Access is subject to capacity and you are encouraged to reserve a seat in order to guarantee entry, particularly at high demand matches. Members will be required to pay additional fees and charges when reserving a seat. Access may be gained to unreserved seating on a first come, first served basis subject to availability and Members can upgrade to a reserved seat at the venue for an additional fee subject to availability.
  5. Entry to games is strictly subject to capacity. Membership holders are not guaranteed entry to games except where a reserved seat has also been purchased.
  6. It is the responsibility of the member to notify the Club should their details change, including the issuing or withdrawal of concession status; member contact details; or any relevant information that could affect their membership with Melbourne Football Club.
  7. The membership purchased is for the 2022 season only. The price of a 2022 membership will not be reduced for new applicants wishing to join at any point once the season is underway.
  8. All membership prices for season 2022 are GST inclusive.
  9. The AFL membership cut-off date is 31 July 2022. Any membership purchased after 5 pm on this date will not be eligible to access finals tickets and will not be included in the official 2022 total membership tally.
  10. 2021 Melbourne Football Club members may renew the same package they had for the 2021 season online or over the telephone. By renewing over the phone or online, you are accepting the terms and conditions of Melbourne Football Club membership.
  11. Melbourne Football Club reserves the right to refuse an application. The Club also reserves the right to suspend or cancel a membership, without refund, to any member in breach of these terms and conditions.

  13. The Melbourne Football Club may from time to time where reasonably necessary vary the terms and conditions of the Melbourne Football Club. The Melbourne Football Club will communicate any change to its membership terms and conditions via the Melbourne Football Club website. Members will have no claim against Melbourne Football Club by reason of any change made to its terms and conditions.
  1. At this time, it is unknown how the coronavirus pandemic may impact the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. We all sincerely hope the last two seasons challenges will be behind us in 2022. If we experience an interruption to the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, as we did in 2020 and 2021, we will provide all match access members with a range of options to address any material reduction in the benefits of your membership.
  2. Any compensation items from 2020, including free tickets and/or guest passes and Demon Shop vouchers must be used by 31 October 2021.

Following are the terms and conditions of The Demon Army – the official cheer squad of the Melbourne Football Club. Benefits and conditions of membership are subject to change and are at the discretion of the Melbourne Football Club.


  1. Demon Army members are required to be financial members of the Melbourne Football Club. From 2019, non-access members (Armchair, Digital Armchair and International Armchair) are no longer able to purchase a Demon Army membership and will therefore have no access to finals tickets or reserved seats through the Demon Army allocation.

Access to Reserved Seats for ticketed/interstate matches

  1. Access to reserved seats at Melbourne Football Club games in Victoria is limited to Demon Army members only.
  2. Access to reserved seats with The Demon Army for Melbourne Football Club matches interstate will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis to Melbourne Football Club members.
  3. For ticketed matches or away games at Marvel Stadium, the Demon Army has access to 250 seats behind the goals at ground level. These will be allocated based on active participation within the Demon Army, regular involvement on match day and length of membership. Demon Army membership does not guarantee a ticket to any ticketed match.
  4. Members may be required to pay additional fees and charges when reserving a seat.

Access to Finals tickets

  1. The Demon Army has access to 250 seats behind the goals at ground level for every final that the Melbourne Football Club participates in. These will be allocated based on active participation within the group, regular involvement on match day and length of membership. Demon Army membership does not guarantee a ticket to any finals match.
  2. The AFL membership cut-off date is 31 July 2022. Any membership purchased after 5pm on this date will not be eligible to access finals tickets and will not be included in the official 2022 total membership tally.
  3. All finals information will be communicated to members in the lead up to the 2022 Finals Series and advertised nationally by the AFL.

Family membership can consist of two adults and up to four children under 15 years of age (as at 1 January 2022).

For General Admission memberships, the combination of up to 2 youths (15+ years of age and under 17 years of age as at 1 January 2022) and 2-3 juniors (under 15 years of age as at 1 January 2022) is also available.

For Reserved Seat memberships, children 15+ will be required to purchase a concession membership, if applicable.

The following concession card holders are eligible to purchase a concession membership: Pension card (aged/single parent/disability); Student card (full-time) or enrolment papers confirming full time status; or Veterans Affairs card. Health Care or Health Benefit cards do not qualify.

Concession identification must be produced at the time of attending games.

*Please note that all junior members who have turned 15 since the 2022 season will automatically be upgraded to youth members.

To be eligible for a junior membership, children must be under 15 years of age as at 1 January 2022. Children over 5 years of age will need to obtain a Young Demon membership if they wish to be eligible to purchase finals tickets. Member and Supporter Services may request proof of age identification (copy of birth certificate or passport etc.)

Melbourne reserved seat holders from 2021 have until Tuesday, 30th November 2021 to renew their same reserved seats for 2022. After this date, all reserved seats that have not been renewed will be released for general sale and it cannot be guaranteed that you will be able to obtain the same seat from the 2021 season.

  1. Seating areas at the MCG are subject to change. These changes are made upon consultation with the venue. The Club will endeavour to advise members of any changes.
  2. To minimise the number of vacant seats in the stadium, Melbourne Football Club reserves the right to move a member two seats to the left or right within the same row without contacting the member concerned.
  3. The AFL may classify a match as a ‘reserved seat ticket’ event or ‘fully ticketed’. In this case, anyone wishing to attend this match will be required to reserve a seat to gain entry. Pre-booking of seats incurs additional match booking fees that go directly to the ticketing agent. For matches where there is a high demand for reserved seating, it is recommended that members reserve a seat in advance.
  4. Members can upgrade to a daily reserved seat through the following ticketing agencies:

  1. Country/Interstate 5 members must live more than 120km from the Melbourne GPO.
  2. Eligible interstate members with a valid email address on the Melbourne Football Club database will be communicated to via email when they can reserve/purchase tickets to the eligible game.
  1. By nominating Melbourne as your Club of support with the AFL, you are agreeing to become a member of Melbourne Football Club and as a result, your personal details will be forwarded to the Club so that they may contact you for Club purposes.
  2. An AFL Absentee membership allows you to place your AFL membership number on hold for a season and allows you to return to the same membership status and number when your circumstances change. Please note that this does not hold your membership and Reward and Recognition status with Melbourne Football Club.
  1. The Auskick Junior Membership is a bonus 4 game General Admission access membership provided to each 2022 Community/Club NAB AFL Auskick participant who opts into receiving an AFL Club membership at the time of registration, by nominating his/her AFL Club of support (Club).
  2. If a recipient of the Auskick Junior Membership elects to change the Club originally selected, the original Club membership will be cancelled. A new Club membership will only be provided at the discretion of the AFL.
  3. An Auskick Junior Membership card will be included in the Auskick Benefits pack and mailed to the participant by the AFL after payment has been received.
  4. Auskick Junior Membership are not transferable, cannot be resold and are non-refundable.
  5. Auskick Junior Memberships are subject to all other terms and conditions of the Club’s membership.
  6. The Club and/or AFL reserves the right to cancel any Auskick Junior Membership without a refund where a member is deemed by the Club and/or AFL to have breached these terms and conditions.
  1. Designed to recognise members’ loyalty, the Melbourne Football Club Recognition program is based on the length of time members have held consecutive memberships with the Club, based on the following principles:
  2. Years of membership must be consecutive. Members must renew each season to retain their Reward and Recognition status. If you do not renew your membership for one or more seasons, you will commence as a first-year member when you renew in future seasons.
  3. The Member Recognition program and its benefits are offered at the sole discretion of the Melbourne Football Club.
    Recognition categories and benefits cannot be transferred.

Absentee Memberships are available as an option for members who wish to continue their consecutive years of membership. Please contact Membership Services on 1300 Demons (1300 336 667) for further information.

The Premium Members’ areas in the Olympic and Shane Warne Stands are the best place to watch Melbourne home games. These guidelines are designed to ensure everyone enjoys their day at the football.

  1. Seating
    All members are asked to sit in their reserved seats/reserved area as indicated on their mobile membership. Please note that memberships are not transferable, and only the member indicated on the mobile membership is to sit in the reserved seat.
  2. Guest Passes
    Premium Member Guest passes can be purchased by Premium Members for each home game at the MCG. Guest passes allow the bearer access to sections P1, P2, P3 and P4 in the Shane Warne Stand. If the Premium Member wishes to sit with their guests on the day, they must accompany them to the guest bays. Guest Passes do not allow the guest to sit in the Premium Member reserved seat areas. If you are unsure of where to sit, ask one of the friendly MCG staff. Guest passes also allow the guest to accompany the member into the Premium Member social rooms in the Shane Warne Stand.
  3. Be respectful of others
    Premium Member areas are family friendly areas, and members and guests are expected to act accordingly. Please be mindful of using bad language. There are young children sitting near you, so don’t use language that you wouldn’t want your own children to hear. Anti-social behaviour and violence will not be tolerated in the Premium member areas. If you witness such behaviour, please send an SMS to MCG Security on 0409 117 621.
  4. Food and Dining
    Access to the Hassett and Ryder Rooms is available at home games for all Premium Members and guests (with guest passes). These rooms are family friendly areas where members and guests can mingle together, and are available for members to purchase food and beverages before, during and after home games. These rooms are hosted by volunteers Mike Anderson and Ralph Crapper, who are available to assist you on game day and ensure that you enjoy the experience.
  5. Opposition Supporters
    Opposition supporters are welcome as guests of Premium Members in the Guest Bays and the Hassett and Ryder rooms. We ask that these supporters respect the area to ensure that an enjoyable day is had by all.

Week 1 Qualifying / Elimination Finals; Week 2 – Semi Finals; Week 3 – Preliminary Finals.

Melbourne Football Club match-access members are given priority access (over non-members) to purchase a ticket to finals during the first three weeks of the finals series*.

AFL Finals matches are administered by the AFL with the core advantage to Melbourne Football Club members being a priority access period for the opportunity to purchase a ticket to the game* before the general public. The priority access period is also extended to members of the other competing club.

Neither the Club nor its members have the same rights as they receive for the Home and Away games – 2022 reserved seat members will be unable to retain their annual reserved seat for the finals series.

To be eligible for finals tickets you must join as a member before 31 July 2022. Note: These arrangements are subject to change.

The sale of AFL Grand Final tickets is administered and managed by the AFL.

Tickets will be made available to Melbourne Football Club members on a priority basis depending on the membership type held.*

The order of allocation of Grand Final Tickets to Melbourne members will be as follows:

  • Priority 1 (Guaranteed access) – President’s Club Members, Legends, Trident, Redlegs, Demon Seats Plus and Grand Final Guarantee holders
  • Priority 2 – Red & Blue Home, Red & Blue Home & Away, MFC/MCC Premium, Country/Interstate Members and 20+ Year Consecutive Members
  • Priority 3 – Red & Blue 3 Game, MFC/MCC Exclusive, Little Demon Members, Auskick Members and AFL Club Support Members

All finals information will be communicated to members in the lead up to the 2022 Finals Series and advertised nationally by the AFL.

To be eligible for a Grand Final ticket you must join as a member before 31 July 2022.

  1. All members residing in Victoria and who renew prior to 5pm on Friday 12 November 2021 will receive an entry into the early prize draw.
  2. There is one entry per member.
  3. This includes members renewing via upfront payment and both monthly and upfront payment plan renewal.
  4. The winners will be drawn in order as follows:
    • 1st drawn entry - $5,000
    • 2nd drawn entry - $2,500
    • 3rd drawn entry - $1,000
    • 4th drawn entry - $500

  5. The prize draw will take place on Tuesday, 16 November 2021.
  6. The five winners will be notified in writing via email within 28 days of the prize draw taking place.

  2. In 2022 eligible members must select their member choice item prior to Monday 8 November to have their member choice item sent with their membership and not pay for additional postage. For any member who does not select by this date they will receive a $25 Demon Shop Voucher to use to redeem their member choice item.
  3. MFC/MCC AFL Member’s will not receive a $25 Demon Shop Voucher, such members will be required to contact the club directly in order to receive their exclusive co-branded member choice item. Renewals after April 1 will automatically receive a $25 Demon Shop voucher and no receive member choice item.
  4. For any membership processed post Monday 8 November, the member must select their member choice item as part of their payment process to ensure their items are sent together.
  5. If a members member choice item is sent separately to their membership pack, the member will be required to pay $10 for postage of their member choice item.
  6. The $25 Demon Shop Voucher is valid until 31 October, 2022.
  7. 2022 Member choice items are available until sold out, once sold out members must select a different member choice item.


Terms and Conditions - Reward & Recognition

By entering the Reward & Recognition promotion, you agree to the following conditions:

1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. The Promoter is Melbourne Football Club (ABN 27 005 686 902 13) of 120 Brunton Ave, Melbourne Cricket Ground, East Melbourne 8002.


3. Entry is open to Melbourne Football Club members who have been a consecutive member of the football club for 5+ years excluding directors, management, employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and third parties associated with this promotion. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

4. The promotion commences at 10:00 am (AEDT) on Thursday 24 March, 2022 and closes at 11:59 pm (AEDT) on Monday 4 April, 2022 (Promotion Period).

Competition entry

5. To enter the draw, Eligible Entrants must complete the following steps during the Promotion Period:

i. visit the competition page at the following link.

ii. fill out all mandatory fields listed on the competition page in a truthful and accurate manner.

6. All entries via the online form must include the Entrant’s contact details including full name, phone number and email address so they can be contacted if they are a prize winner.

7. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and will be rejected. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry where it reasonably suspects that such materials are prohibited by these terms and conditions, any relevant law, or are otherwise deemed inappropriate. This is at the Promoter's absolute discretion and discussions will not be entered into.

8. Privacy Notice: The Promoter will collect your personal information so you can enter, and they can administer, this promotion. Your personal information is required for The Promoter to contact you in the event that your entry is deemed the winning entry. The Promoter may also use your information for future marketing and promotional purposes. Your personal information will only be disclosed to the Promoter and its related corporate bodies for these purposes. 9. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunction of any communications network or any lost, late, delayed, ineligible, incomplete, corrupted or misdirected entries, howsoever caused.

The draw

10. The winning Eligible Entrant will be drawn 1 business day (Tuesday 5 April, 2022) after the competition closes at MCG, Brunton Ave, East Melbourne, 3002. Winner will be selected using an online random number generator tool.

The prize

11. The winners (4) will be notified by email and phone, on the day of the draw, using contact details provided in their entry.

12. In the event that the winner is unable to be contacted, and all reasonable methods of communication are unsuccessful, alternative winners will be chosen from the pool of Eligible Entrants. The prizes offered by this Competition remain the property of the Promoter until claimed by each respective prize winner.

13. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.

14. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning the prize.

15. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash and if for any reason whatsoever, a prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize to another prize of the same or greater value, subject to State and Territory legislation.

16. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.

17. Promoter holds no responsibility for incorrect or insufficient details provided by the entrant. Should an entrant’s details change, it is the responsibility of the entrant to provide these details to the Promoter.

18. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize.

19. There are four (4) prizes available, which will be drawn in the following order:

  • Prize 1: 1x 2022 AFL team signed guernsey
  • Prize 2: 1x AFLW team signed guernsey
  • Prize 3: 1x 2022 AFL team signed football

20. Prize winners must provide a postal address to The Promoter at the time of being notified that they are a prize winner.

21. The prize is not redeemable for cash or other goods and services, and can not be on-sold.

22. Entrant’s consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image, voice and/or social media posts content in the event they are the winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome).

23. If any act, omission, event, or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations and the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.

24. The Promoter, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents (Promotion Parties) will not be liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or personal injuries arising out of this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, including but not limited to any breach of these terms and conditions, contract or tort (including negligence) and any other common law, equitable or statutory remedy (Damages) whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential Damages, including Damages that cannot reasonably be considered to arise naturally and in the ordinary course of things, even if those Damages were in the contemplation of the Promotion Parties.
